Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Isaiah Chapter 14. God’s whole plan for (see 2 Chronicles 36:22-23) those who love and yield to Him. What those who persecute God’s people can (see Isaiah 37:36) expect. Assurance of the obliteration of the Philistines by famine and war (see Isaiah 28:16) is given by God. “22 “I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord of hosts, “and will cut off from Babylon name and remnant, descendants and posterity,” declares the Lord. 23 “And I will make it a possession of the hedgehog, and pools of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares the Lord of hosts.“ Isaiah 14:22-23 English Standard Versions (ESV). God promises those that love him and are called according to His purpose (see Romans 8:28) will be successful in what they do. “by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” 2 Peter 1:4 ESV. We weren’t called to judge people but rather to (see Proverbs 4:14) avoid joining in their sin. That won’t work if discernment is passed off as judgment. We are called to share (see Matthew 28:18-20) the good news so that any person who wants to can accept Jesus, repent and join the family of God.
