8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.1 Peter 5:8-9, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter12; Christ anointed by Mary. (1-11) He enters Jerusalem. (12-19) Greeks apply to see Jesus. (20-26) A voice from heaven bears testimony to Christ. (27-33) His discourse with the people. (34-36) Unbelief of the Jews. (37-43) Christ’s address to them. (44-50)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Jesus came into our world to save us from ourselves. That is to say from our own sin. Does it seem like some times we are drifting without direction? In those times it is important to turn to Jesus. Jesus not only forgives our sin he also gives us light so that we can see where he directs us. “44 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. 45 And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. 47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”John 12:44-50, ESV. When you receive his direction you will share His love. Not only in words but also in deeds. People will know you are sincere because of the love you share for Jesus. The Way of Love; “1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant1 Corinthians 13:1-4 ESV. By love they shall know that Jesus has sent us. He sends us to share his love for God’s creation. God doesn’t scream; “I want to condemn you to HELL, for your Sin!” Rather God says he loves the sinner so much that he sent his only begotten son, Jesus to pay the price for our sin. God’s commandments doesn’t save us from sin. Rather they serve to expose our sin. The most important commandment of all testifies of a loving relationship with him. In it he also expects us to share that love in our relationship with our neighbors. “36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandmentsffcc00

depend all the Law and the Prophets.”Matthew 22:36-40, ESV. Our faith in Him produces that walk of love. His love enables us to share our relationship with God, with those around us. “3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.Philippians 2:3-4, ESV. Love will allow us to keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He wiffcc00

ll come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter11; The sickness of Lazarus. (1-6) Christ returns to Judea. (7-10) The death of Lazarus. (11-16) Christ arrives at Bethany.(17-32) He raises Lazarus. (33-46) The Pharisees consult against Jesus. (47-53) The Jews seek for him. (54-57)Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in John chapter 11. I was reading a news paper and I see how Christians are being persecuted in the USA. They can’t pray in Jesus name at a military religious services. Yet these are the people who died to protect our rights for freedom of religion. I read where a grade school boy was humiliated and punished for talking about Jesus. If they truly don’t believe that Jesus is Lord, what makes them so afraid and angry at our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? This is not a new thing as we see as we read the Feast in John chapter 11 today; “51 He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. 53 So from that day on they made plans to put him to death.John 11:51-53, ESV. God’s Word tells us that even the demons believe and are very afraid! Why do we share the Word of God? Because our faith produces action, in God’s name Jesus;18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?James 2:18-20, ESV. Jesus is our Lord, God, Savior, friend and our everything! There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved. When we see that we have given up what we can’t hold onto (a life full of sin) for a new eternal life without sin. There is no way that we can go on without praising God and sharing Jesus’ love; “9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.John 10:9-11, ESV. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved! I think the truth may be that the non-believer has decided not to accept Jesus. This may be because their deeds are dark and evil. The light exposes that kind of work! Our faith produces a walk of love. “[Walk in Love] Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.Ephesians 5:1, ESV. Let His light continue to be revealed through you! Watch your step. Always be aware of where you are walking! Let’s keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter10; “The parable of the good shepherd. (1-5) Christ the Door. (6-9) Christ the good Shepherd. (10-18) The Jews’ opinion concerning Jesus. (19-21) His discourse at the feast of dedication. (22-30) The Jews attempt to stone Jesus. (31-38) He departs from Jerusalem. (39-42)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Not everyone whom the Lord calls will come to Jesus; “ 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”John 10:25-30, ESV. God’s Word testifies to this scripture; “14 For many are called, but few are chosen.”Matthew 22:14, ESV. If they will not invite Jesus to be their Lord, don’t waste to much time and energy there, move on; ”37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”Matthew 9:37-38, ESV. Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter 9; “Christ give sight to one born blind. (1-7) The account given by the blind man. (8-12) The Pharisees question the man that had been blind. (13-17) They ask concerning him. (18-23) They cast him out. (24-34) Christ’s words to the man that had been blind. (35-38) He reproves the Pharisees. (39-41)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Jesus restores the blind man sight; “ 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.John 9:5-7, ESV. More importantly Jesus saved the blind man; “35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” 38 He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.John 9:35-38, ESV. Do You Have a Light?

Today’s Feast

Oct. 27, 2015 – John 8

Do You Have a Light?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.Hebrews 4:12, English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter 8; “The Pharisees and the adulteress. (1-11) Christ’s discourse with the Pharisees.(12-59)” – Matthew Henry Concise.
Jesus is our light and our guide, by following Jesus we never walk in darkness; “12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””John 8:12, ESV. Just as we know that our true righteousness is in Jesus; he gives us light and salt to share his love; “13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” Matthew 5:13-15, ESV. If anyone asks you to; “pass the salt” or “do you have a light” you have an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Let’s keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.
On Sept. 13 or 14, 2012 Brother Robert Waters said in an email; ““Evangelism: Self-Benefit as a Catalyst
Sharing one’s faith often is the mature believer’s Achilles’ heel. As we grow in grace in all other areas of the faith, we tend to lag behind in preaching the Gospel to unbelievers in our workplaces and neighborhoods. Excuses for our lack of obedience in this area abound.
While we see the immediate benefits that sharing our faith has toward unbelievers, we do not see the immediate benefits that sharing our faith has toward ourselves. Yet the benefits toward our own walks with the Lord should move us to share… …Sharing Makes You Faithful to the Great
Commission—to Giving Gospel to the lost
The most obvious benefit to ourselves is that we are obedient to the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20), and thus to the Lord. This comes with the added benefit of the promised presence of God himself: “I will be with you always, even until the end of the age.”
Share your faith with others. You will bless them with the offer of the Lord’s love, grace, mercy, joy, and peace through the preaching of the Gospel. In doing so, the sharing will bless you too.Robert Waters

Jesus took his message on the road. Not even his brothers would believe him. “1 After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him. 2 Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand. 3 So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. 4 For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” 5 For not even his brothers believed in him.John 7:1-5, ESV. Do you know Jesus? Does Jesus know you? Do you believe Jesus? There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved! “8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.1 Peter 3:8, ESV. Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter 6; “Five thousand miraculously fed. (1-14) Jesus walks on the sea. (15-21) He directs to spiritual food. (22-27) His discourse with the multitude. (28-65) Many of disciples go back. (66-71)Matthew Henry Concise.

Jesus tells us he is the bread of life. He not only sets us free from sin, Jesus says we will never want for food or drink. If we accept him he will in no way cast us out. “35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”John 6:35-40, ESV. We know that Jesus sacrifice for the sins of man was a gift from God the Father. Can you imagine this, God is willing to give his only begotten son to die for sinners a sacrifice bringing eternal life. What kind of love is this, he does all the sacrifices and we reap the benefits. “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”” John 3:16-21, ESV. Listen Saints put your thinking hats on! We are giving up a life in sin, that we couldn’t keep under any circumstances. And we are receiving life more abundantly that we can’t loose. “9 I am the door. “4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.Philippians 4:4, ESV. Can you think of any reason whatsoever not to rejoice in our awesome Lord? Keep on keeping the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
