Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 25.  The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah.  This people are wicked and unrepentant; (see Jeremiah 25:1-7) they worship false gods made by their own hands.  Because they worship false gods; (see Jeremiah 25:8-14) those who obey God will serve seventy years as slaves.  The people who won’t repent (see Jeremiah 21:9) will die in their sin.  Sin against God may be forgiven by a call to Jesus and repentance though forgiven (see Matthew 5:17-19) just like cancer it leaves scars.    The cup of the lord’s wrath (see Jeremiah 25:15-29) will be served to every sinful person in every nation that sins and remains unrepentant; “36 A voice–the cry of the shepherds, and the wail of the lords of the flock! For the LORD is laying waste their pasture, 37 and the peaceful folds are devastated because of the fierce anger of the LORD. 38 Like a lion he has left his lair, for their land has become a waste because of the sword of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.” Jeremiah 25:36-38  English Standard Versions (ESV).  It is not enough to live a Christian life (see James 2:13-15) Jesus expects us to reach out to the sinner and needy with love. “16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.1 Thessalonians 4:16-17   That great and wonderful day will come and all that have repented from their sin and made Jesus Lord (see James 2:18-26) of their life will be rewarded.  Attending church meetings two days a week is not enough; (see Matthew 28:16-20) Jesus has called on every believer to be ambassadors for salvation.   Because our God’s will is that (see 2 Peter 3:9) none should perish.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 24.  Jeremiah saw two baskets of figs; one good and one bad; (see Jeremiah 24:1-10) they represent those good people who love God and the bad who deny God’s Glory.  God has made a way out of His wrath for those who love and obey Him (see Jeremiah 21:9) it’s simple surrender to the Chaldeans and you shall live.  God is awesome, everything will work to the advantage of those who love God (see Romans 8:28) and are called according to His purpose. Those who love and obey God shall live; 7 I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.Jeremiah 24:7  English Standard Versions (ESV).     Those who disobey and turn from God will die; “10 And I will send sword, famine, and pestilence upon them, until they shall be utterly destroyed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.”Jeremiah 24:10   Our God really is awesome and never changing!   Today while you still have a choice (see Joshua 24:14) choose whom you shall serve.  Choose the one God who can say “I am” (see 1 Corinthians 8:4-6) bring glory to God in the name of Jesus today and forever.  4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?Psalm 56:4 ESV.  Tell those who love Jesus (see Romans 12:18-20) they will never have to fear rumors, politics or evil men.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 23.  God promises to restore the lands of His people who declare; (see Jeremiah 23:1-8) “The Lord is our righteousness”.  God is angry with the lying Prophets who proclaim that (see Jeremiah 23:9-22) It shall be well with those who do evil and deny God.  False prophets share the deceit of their own heart (see Jeremiah 23:23-32) luring God’s people to false gods and destruction.  The rewards of false prophet, or priest and those who follow them are (see Jeremiah 23:33-40) to be destroyed along with their false gods;   39 therefore, behold, I will surely lift you up and cast you away from my presence, you and the city that I gave to you and your fathers. 40 And I will bring upon you everlasting reproach and perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.Jeremiah 22:30  English Standard Versions (ESV).    How can we know if a prophet is from God?  Hold their words and works up to the light of God’s Word (see 1 John 4:1) do those works bring Glory to God.  Look to see if they are behavior has good results (see Matthew 7:15-20) results that bring glory to God today and in the eternal life.  17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, 18 to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.Psalm 103:17-18  ESV.  Our righteousness is in Jesus (see Philippians 3:8-10) and not of ourselves.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 22.  God tells to the king of Judah that he must rule with justice and righteousness (see Jeremiah 22:1-9) or endure the wrath God for breaking the covenant.  God is angry with the Sons of King Josiah, Shallum and Jehoiakim (see Jeremiah 22:10-19) for practicing oppression and violence.  Concerning Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah (see Jer 22:20-30) he shall have no children to sit on the throne of David.  30 Thus says the Lord: “Write this man down as childless, a man who shall not succeed in his days, for none of his offspring shall succeed in sitting on the throne of David and ruling again in Judah.” Jeremiah 22:30  English Standard Versions (ESV).    We know our God is a loving God (see John 3:16) He made the Way for us to live.  Jesus is the forgiver of sins (see Acts 4:11-12) He paid the whole price for our salvation on the cross at Calvary.  13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.Acts 20:24  ESV.  Let’s keep sharing the good news with the love of God in our hearts (see Matthew 22:37-39) and a smile on our face.  Remember in our covenant with God; the only things we gave up when we accepted Jesus (see 1 Peter 1:17-19) were the things that caused pain and misery.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 21.  The word of God to Jeremiah considering Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to God’s people; (see Jeremiah 21:1-9) stay in you city and die or surrender to Babylon and live.  God is angry with the Israelites (see Jeremiah 21:3-5) for their sin He has sent the Babylonian and the Chaldeans army to sack their cities and kill all who resist.  Yet God has made a way out of His wrath for those who will hear and obey Him (see Jeremiah 21:9) surrender to the Chaldeans and you shall live.  God is awesome for those who love him (see Romans 8:28) and seek to obey Him.   God calls for the decedents of David (see Jeremiah 21:10-15) to get right immediately or perish.  14 I will punish you according to the fruit of your deeds, declares the Lord; I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is around her.”Jeremiah 21:14  English Standard Versions (ESV).    We are ambassadors for Jesus, we cannot save anyone by ourselves; (see 2 Corinthians 5:20) it is our task to carry the good news to as many people as we can.  Jesus will forgive their sins (see Acts 4:11-12) and grant salvation for any who accept God’s Word.  But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.Acts 20:24  ESV.  It is up to you and I to take action in the name of Jesus, to be doers of God’s Word (see Romans 2:13) and not just hearers.  Jesus commissioned us to carry God’s Word (see Matthew 28:16-20) to all the Earth!  Not as accusers but in love like God showed us when He sent Jesus (see John 3:16) to redeem all who will listen and accept Him.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 19.  Judah and Jerusalem’s holiness made them the joy of God’s creation; (see Jeremiah 19:1-9) now their sin makes God’s rebuke and shames them.  God is warning our nations their wicked ways will bring destruction unless (see 2 Chronicles 7:14) we turn to God in Jesus’ name praying for His forgiveness.  God tells Jeremiah to smash a flask in front of Judah and Jerusalem (see Jeremiah 19:10-15) to signify how they will be destroyed.  15 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, behold, I am bringing upon this city and upon all its towns all the disaster that I have pronounced against it, because they have stiffened their neck, refusing to hear my words.”Jeremiah 19:15  English Standard Versions (ESV).    We can’t wait for the world to glorify God they are too busy trying to look righteous (see 2 Timothy 3:4-6) by passing laws and ordinances denying the Glory of God. “[ Hearing and Doing the Word ] Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;James 1:19  ESV.  It is up to you and I to take action in the name of Jesus, to be doers of God’s Word (see Romans 2:13) and not just hearers.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 18.  God shows Jeremiah His relationship to His creation (see Jeremiah 18:1-10) in a visit to the potter working the clay.  God warns the sinners in Judah and Jerusalem that their wicked ways (see Jeremiah 18:11-17) will bring destruction on them.   As a nation we need to turn to God in prayer with repentance (see 2 Chronicles 7:14) if we want God to heal our lands.  Jeremiah calls on God’s chosen people to turn from their wicked ways and ask God   to forgive them (see Jeremiah 18:18-23) instead they stubbornly deny God and attack the prophet.  23 Yet you, O Lord, know all their plotting to kill me. Forgive not their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.Jeremiah 18:23  English Standard Versions (ESV).   Though God’s only requirement for salvation is to turn from that which destroys us and ask forgiveness in Jesus name (see John 3:19) many people would rather deny the existence of God.  Saints we must reach out in love to those who are lost remembering that (see 2 Peter 3:9) Jesus isn’t willing that any should perish. “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.Romans 12:10 ESV.  God does not tolerate hatred toward the sinner (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-3) so as ambassadors for Christ we are to reach out in love!  We must never compromise (see 2 Timothy 4:3) the Word of God to accommodate sin of any kind.

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 17.  Idolatry may seem a small thing for men (see Jeremiah 17:1-4) our God doesn’t share His Glory; Judah will die for their sins.  People who put their faith in the flesh will die the death (see Jeremiah 17:5-11) of foolish men.   Jeremiah recognizes God’s Glory (see Jeremiah 17:12-18) and prays for deliverance.  The prophet warns the people of Judah (see Jeremiah 16:14-21) to keep the covenant with God holy.  Jeremiah forewarns them of the consequences of not keeping the Sabbath holy; “27 But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem and shall not be quenched.’”Jeremiah 17:27  English Standard Versions (ESV).   The world especially those who hate God and the entertainment enterprises have an agenda to soft-soap sin, (see Romans 6:23) do not trust in their lies the wages of sin remain the same. That doesn’t mean we beat people up with our bibles “Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. Romans 15:2 ESV.  Just as I said before; “The best way you can serve others is to let them know about (see John 3:16) Jesus and the gift He brings from our Father God.”

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 16.  The Word of God comes to Jerimiah; He is to abstain from relations in the land because (see Jeremiah 16:1-9) God would allow this people to die in their sins.  They died in their sin because they despised God finding excuse for their sin (see Jeremiah 16:10-13) rather than repentance for their sin.   Did you ever notice that those who turn from God (see John 3:20) hate any mention of Jesus or the cross?  That’s because they love the world and its rewards (see 1 John 2:9) over righteousness.  Though God cannot over look sin of the people (see Jeremiah 16:14-21) with Jesus God sends a way for them to be redeemed; 21  “Therefore, behold, I will make them know, this once I will make them know my power and my might, and they shall know that my name is the Lord.Jeremiah 16:21  English Standard Versions (ESV).   Make no mistake Saints God will reward every person according to their will.  17 Because they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched. 2 Kings 22:17  ESV.  While those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (see Romans 8:28) all things will work to their good.  13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.Galatians 5:13 ESV.  The best way you can serve others is to let them know about (see John 3:16) Jesus and the gift He brings from our Father God.
