Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms 124 & 125.  In Psalms 124 David is giving God the glory for delivering the church from their enemies.  He says that all glory goes to God.  8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth..   Psalm 124:8  – English Standard Version (ESV).  In  Psalms 125 THE psalmist says The Lord encompasses and protects his people.  4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts!   Psalm 125:4  – ESV.   Along the same lines today we can say that the Holy Spirit encompasses us and Jesus does good for those who have an upright heart.  But how can that be when God says that men’s hearts are continually evil?  The answer is the Lord Jesus is our righteousness, when we accept Jesus into our hearts and allow Him to guide and move us everything will work for our good (see Romans 8:27-29).  We must remain ready for the return of Jesus setting the example for those who may be redeemed from the world. “10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.  11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 2 Peter 3:10-11 – ESV.  Sometimes you might only listen to a person’s complaints about the condition of a situation.  Be still while they talk and when they are out of steam say something like; “They may be able to infect our  happiness but at least they’ll never touch our joy” (See Nehemiah 8:10).  When they say what are you talking about, use the opportunity to tell them about your hope and joy in Jesus.

Thank you Jesus you are our salvation and joy! Amen!

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms 122 & 123.  In Psalms 122 the Psalmist is saying the pleasure from God’s grace; outweigh any difficulty we may find in serving the Lord. He goes on saying that if we can do nothing else for Jerusalem we should be in prayer for Jerusalem. In Psalms 123 the Psalmist is saying that when we lift up our voice to God for mercy we can expect blessings not contempt. “8 For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you!” 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.   Psalm 122:8-9  – English Standard Version (ESV).  Today all over the USA people are letting their belts out another space.  They starting Christmas shopping and many will not be giving Jesus another thought.  They should be continuing seeking God with thanksgiving everyday (see 1 Thessalonians 5:18).  I heard three men discussing what day God should be worshipped.  (this is the way I heard it.) “The first one said; We worship on Saturday continuing to obey God’s word on keeping the Sabbath.  The second man said; We worship on Sunday because that is the day Jesus rose from the tomb over coming death and the day of Pentecost.  They both looked to the third man to hear his thoughts on the matter on what day should be set aside to worship God.  He said at my house we worship God every day!”   So I’m saying every day we should be giving thanks to God in the name of Jesus. Remember this is still the day that the Lord has made!  23 The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God! Psalm 50:23 – ESV.  Every day is the day to worship God with thanksgiving joy and gladness!  Let’s continue to be thankful for all of God’s blessings (See Psalm 95:2-3).  It is up to you and I to set the example during the holidays and every day.

Our Father gives us strength to share his love every minute of every day! Amen!

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms 120 & 121.  In chapter one the Psalmist asks God to be delivered from lies of those who bring false charges against him. Their deceitful lies cause the good man consternation.  Then he says we must look to God who makes all earthly things good for us.   In chapter two he is saying that our God is our protector. “7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.  8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. .  Psalm 121:7-8 English Standard Version (ESV).  Today all over the USA people will join their loved ones, friends and neighbors to give thanks to God.  Whatever they thank the Lord God for he will hear if they ask in the name of Jesus (see John 14:13).   This is the day that the Lord has made.  8 Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!  1 Chronicles 16:8 – ESV.  Be joyful and glad in this day and be thankful for all of God’s blessings (See Psalm 95:2-3).  I’m thankful that God allows me to share His only begotten son Jesus and to share Him with all of you.

Father we thank you for all that you do! Hallelujah!

What Is The Great Commission?

Jesus calls on all believers to share His Word!

Nov. 27,13 – Psalms 119 Verses 97-127

Psalms 119 “…. 7. His judgments; framed in infinite wisdom. 8. His righteousness; it is the rule and standard of what is right. 9. His statutes; they are always binding. 10. His truth or faithfulness; it is eternal truth, it shall endure for ever.” – Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms 119 reading Psalms 119 Verses 97-127.  The Psalmist proclaims that all true wisdom is from God.   The commandments are the lamp of the Spirit; Therefor we love the law of God. God’s Word teaches the love, mercy and the justice of God. The psalmist faithfully pursues God’s deliverance. He declares thanksgiving with a person’s whole heart is sacrifices to God.   175 Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me.

176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.  Psalmn 119:175-176 English Standard Version (ESV).  God’s Word teaches us that we are saved by faith in Jesus and there is no other way (see John 14:6).   The way of the world brings death but; faith in Jesus is our salvation.  16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 1 Peter 1:8-9 – ESV.  Today is the day of salvation we who follow Jesus must be lovingly proclaiming His love to all persons (See Matthew 28:16-20).  The great commission is for everyone who believes in Jesus.

Father we thank you for our burden to carry your loving Word to everyone.  Hallelujah!

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms 119 reading Psalms 119 Verses 49-96.  The Psalmist is acknowledging that God’s judgments display His wisdom and the humble can approach to make their pleas heard.   The Lord is the true believers inheritance.  Also God is the same then, now and forever. He is saying our God deals with us better than we deserve.   Sin makes us unworthy of God’s salvation.  The psalmist faithfully pursued God’s deliverance from his sins.   89 Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. 90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.  Psalmn 119:89-90 English Standard Version (ESV).  Like the psalmist we must pursue God’s salvation.  The only way to get salvation is through faith in Jesus     (see John 14:6).   God’s Word assures us the only way is through faith in Jesus.  8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9 – ESV.  Therefor we follow Jesus in faith, knowing that all things work our good (See Colossians 3:17).  Proclaiming; God’s love endures forever!

Father we thank you for sending Jesus to ransom us from sin! Hallelujah!

Sharing Jesus With Love And Thanksgiving!

Jesus is the only source for a sinner’s true happiness.

Nov. 25, 2013 – Psalms 119 Verses 1-48

Psalms 119 Verses 1-48 “The general scope and design of this psalm is to magnify the Divine law, and make it honourable. There are ten words by which Divine revelation is called in this psalm, and each expresses what God expects from us, and what we may expect from him. 1. God’s law; this is enacted by him as our Sovereign. 2. His way; this is the rule of his providence. 3. His testimonies; they are solemnly declared to the world. 4. His commandments; given with authority. 5. His precepts; not left as indifferent matters to us. 6. His word, or saying; it is the declaration of his mind. 7. His judgments; framed in infinite wisdom…” – Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 119 Verses 1-48.  The Psalmist is talking about a believer’s experience.  The youths are living by no rule at all, or choosing false rules.  God covenants are just and we will be held accountable.  The flesh yearns for the gifts of the world; the saints must not give in to the temptations.  The Holy Spirit brings understanding to believers.  Saints live by faith in God’s gifts and by faith we will attain them. “48 I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.  Psalmn 119:48 English Standard Version (ESV).  It almost feels like this Psalm was written today (see Ecclesiastes 1:9).   God’s Word tells us how to endure all things.  2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 – ESV.  We will follow Jesus in faith, love and thanksgiving (See Colossians 3:17).  Telling all the world God’s love endures forever!

Father we thank you for the burden to share your everlasting love! Hallelujah!

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 118.  The Psalmist is saying the believer can find his comfort in the everlasting goodness and mercy of God. He is prophesying the coming of Jesus.  28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you.  29 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!  Psalm 118:28-29 – English Standard Version (ESV).  I know of no way to quantify the love of God for man (see John 3:16).  6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 – ESV.  We come to Jesus in love and thanksgiving (See 2 Corinthians 4:15).  Don’t use God’s Word to beat up sinners.   We will reach them by sharing Jesus in love and with thanksgiving.

Father thank you for your everlasting love! Hallelujah!
