Once Forgiven? Joshua 8

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jos 8

l The Feast l

July_31_2012 Joshua 8

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Joshua 8. The reasons that we continue in the Feast are because this is what God would have us do. For the saints it’s as important as continuing to eat a healthy diet as long as we live. We know that man does not live by bread alone, he lives by reading every word that God has given to him. We also know that the more we retain from this steady diet, the stronger our faith grows. Yesterday we saw the folly in taking what belongs to God. Today we see the power of repentance with our awesome God. God not only forgives us but he ads to our life. “1 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear and do not be dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land. 2 And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its livestock you shall take as plunder for yourselves. Lay an ambush against the city, behind it.”” Joshua 8:1-2 English Standard Version (ESV). We’ve noticed this pattern of forgiveness all through God’s Word. Remember how Jesus acted in return to Peter’s denial of him at the crucifixion. I can’t imagine how bad Peter was feeling after having denied Jesus three times. This was after Pete told Jesus that he wouldn’t turn his back on Him. The Word shows us that Jesus understood how bad Peter felt about the denial. Jesus made sure that Peter knew that he was still loved and forgiven. He had the messenger at the tomb to specifically convey his message to Peter. 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”” Mark 16:6-7 (ESV). Those two words “and Peter” told Peter that Jesus had already forgiven him. We see the love nature of God when he tells us to love our neighbors. Not only that if you read God’s Word prayerfully you will be gin to see just how forgiving his nature is. Look at how many times God said we should forgive a brother. “21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.“ Matthew 18:21-22 (ESV). Saint, this tells us that if we are truly repentant then God’s willingness to forgive us is infinite. “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 ESV. God’s will allows us to share in an eternal relationship with Him. Lets keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of Jesus. I am not a theologian so if you want to see something changed in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list. http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@yahoo.com. Who gets it? Joshua 7

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jos 7

l The Feast l

July_30_2012 Joshua 7

Dear Saints,

Did you have a good weekend? Be careful to continue to give God all that is due to Him. Don’t take God’s glory or property for your own gain as you serve Him. Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Joshua 7. We see that God gave His people victory over Jericho. However as we read today we see Achan took spoils from that which belonged to God. God is displeased with Achan to the extent that some of Ahan’s fellow soldiers died in the next campaign. Joshua doesn’t understand why God would turn His back on the Israelite army. “10 The Lord said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. 12 Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will be with you no more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.” Joshua 7:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV). As we serve our Lord give Him the Glory for he alone is worthy. As we serve God in love and faith allow him to reward each of us. [ Choose Whom You Will Serve ] “Now therefore fear the LORD and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14 (ESV). We are reading God’s word our faith is producing works. He is worthy of our praise and our love. Serve him faithfully and allow Him to reward you. “Only fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.“ 1 Samuel 12:24 (ESV). Saint, ask yourself if you’re willing to enter into a personal relationship with God, can you serve God on his terms? Share His gifts giving Him all that is due to Him. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14,16 ESV. Our personal relationship with Jesus allows us to freely share that which He has given us. Give up what you cannot keep for the gift you cannot loose. Be sure to keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of Jesus. I am not a theologian so if you want to see something changed in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list. http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@yahoo.com. To correspond with a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

The Feast

Mon, July 30, 2012, Joshua 7, – “The Israelites smitten at Ai. (1-5) Joshua’s humiliation and prayer. (6-9) God instructs Joshua what to do. (10-5) Achan is detected, He is destroyed. (16-26)“ – Matthew Henry Concise

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

Check your faith! Joshua 4-6

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jos 4-6

l The Feast l

Jul._27-29_2012 Joshua 4-6

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in Joshua 4. through Joshua 6. Because Joshua had great faith in God he followed God’s instructions to the letter when crossing the Jordan river. As he prepared to lay siege to the Jericho he new that believing God and following his instructions were the key to victory. Because Joshua and the people did as God said, God gave gave them the city. “15 On the seventh day they rose early, at the dawn of day, and marched around the city in the same manner seven times. It was only on that day that they marched around the city seven times. 16 And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city. 17 And the city and all that is within it shall be devoted to the Lord for destruction.” Joshua 4:15-17 English Standard Version (ESV). Let’s check our faith! Do you know that we are fighting a war? Believe it, because we have God’s Word on it. 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. ” Ephesians 6:10-12 (ESV). We are reading God’s word our faith is growing enough to produce works. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. “Romans 10:17 (ESV). So the only question is are we willing to serve God on his terms? [Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith] Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”Hebrews 12:1 ESV. Each of us has a personal relationship with God. Therefore it’s up to each of us to decide if we are willing to serve God! Let’s keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of Jesus. n the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list. http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@yahoo.com. To correspond with a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again Monday.

You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? If you want to be sure, turn from sin and just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to measures up to God’s Word. Faith really? Joshua 3

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jos 3

l The Feast l

clip_image002

Jul._26_2012 Joshua 3

Dear  Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Joshua 3. Here we see Joshua’s army passing over the Jordan River.  When all the priests flesh God and step into the water, the water dries up. This is another example of great faith.   17 Now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all Israel was passing over on dry ground until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.[i]” Joshua 3: 17 English Standard Version  (ESV). Would you have this kind of faith?   If your pastor told you;”stand in the River it will dry out.  Do you trust him?  Then why would we have the faith to trust him and accept Jesus turning from your sin? I’ll tell you why you would do it?  Because we have God’s Word on it.  16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (ESV).  So as we read God’s word our faith grew enough to produce works.   So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. “Romans 10:17 (ESV). God has more for you.  As studies were faith begins to grow. Not only just used you begin to enjoy your life. 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Let’s keep feasting in God’s words, building the faith, by keeping first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of Jesus.  “[By Faith] Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen Hebrews 11:1 ESV praise Jesus!  I am not a Theologian.  If I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list.  http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html.  please write mlitew8@yahoo.com.  To correspond with a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Works? Joshua 2

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jos 2

l The Feast l

July_25_2012 Joshua 2

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Joshua 2. In Luke we saw Jesus marvel at the faith of the Centurion. As we read the second chapter of Joshua we marvel at the faith or believable acceptance of God by Rahab. “8 Before the men lay down, she came up to them on the roof 9 and said to the men, “I know that the Lord has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you.10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction. 11 And as soon as we heard it, our hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, he is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath” Joshua 2:8-11 English Standard Version (ESV). Did you think that Rahab would be rewarded for her faith? By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.” Hebrews 11:31 (ESV). So as we examine the actions of Rahab we see that her faith has produced works. “And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?“ James 2:25 (ESV) In the same personal manner your faith and relationship with Jesus will produce good works. 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?” Work to keep the faith, by keeping first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. “I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.” Psalm 119:60 ESV. Praise Jesus!

Delivered from Death! Luke 24 – Joshua 1

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Luk. 24-Jos1

l The Feast l

July_23-24_2012 Luke_24_Joshua 1

Dear Saints,

For Monday we prayerfully continue our Feast in Luke 24 and Tuesday we prayerfully continue feasting in Joshua 1. In Luke we see God’s son sacrificed for us. Now just as the Word promised Jesus overcomes death. “1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”” Luke 24:1-7 English Standard Version (ESV). This is done for you and I saint. God is faithful in his promise to save us. For God So Loved the World ;“16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV. We should thank God every day not only for our salvation and, our purpose driven lives. ““but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”” Matthew 19:14 ESV.

Now I have 3 appointments at Kaiser on Tuesday so I’m including the Feast in Joshua 1 for Tuesday. Joshua Overview; Here is the history of Israel’s passing into the land of Canaan, conquering and dividing it, under the command of Joshua, and their history until his death. The power and truth of God in fulfilling his promises to Israel, and in executing his justly threatened vengeance on the Canaanites, are wonderfully displayed. This should teach us to regard the tremendous curses denounced in the word of God against impenitent sinners, and to seek refuge in Christ Jesus.” – Matthew Henry Concise

Keep the faith keeping first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again Wednesday.

The Feast

Mon, July 23, 2012, Luke 24, – “The resurrection of Christ. (1-12) He appears to two disciples on the way to Emmaus. (13-27) And makes himself known to them. (28-35) Christ appears to the other disciples. (36-49) His ascension. (50-53)” – Matthew Henry Concise

Tue, July 24, 2012, Joshua 1, – “The Lord appoints Joshua to succeed Moses. (1-4) God promises to assist Joshua. (5-9) Preparation to pass over Jordan. (10-15) The people promise to obey Joshua. (16-18)” – Matthew Henry Concise

The deed, the Stand! Luke 23

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Luk. 21-23

l The Feast l

July_20-22_2012 Luke_21_23

Dear Saints,

For the weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in Luke 21 through 23. This is a time when God’s Word shows us what Jesus sacrificed for us. We see the people who had to come together in order for Him to be crucified. This is people that normally couldn’t agree on the time of day. Jesus warns His followers not to loose faith and backslide. “34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”” Luke 20:22-25 English Standard Version (ESV). This is good advice for us as we serve Him awaiting for his return. The Feast is an aid in preparing us for Jesus return. Saints need to be ready for warfare prepared to stand against the whiles of Satan. “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:10-13 ESV. We should thank God every day not only for our salvation but for, our purpose driven lives. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 ESV. Keep the faith keeping first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again on Monday.

Please Join in our salvation march! Do you know that you are made in the image of God? You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mlitew8@yahoo.com or if you want a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com
