Let’s Talk About Prayer

Dear Saints,

Praying

Prayer & Praise

Praise and prayer go together, sometimes it feels like the more we engage God in praise the easier it is to pray. How do you pray? It depends on who or what your praying for and our relationship with Jesus. Always approach God with reverence. We will see that even Jesus as he prayed to the Father he approached with reverence; “7 During His earthly life,He offered prayers and appeals, with loud cries and tears, to the One who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.” Hebrews 5:7 The Holy Bible: HCSB. So we can also be heard because of our reverence. Jesus didn’t do away with the Holy Place from the Most Holy. He removed the vale so that we do not have to wait for a priest, a “saint”, or anyone else to make intercession for us. Jesus sacrificed everything so with his gift we actually become citizens of heaven with the right to approach God for ourselves. Remember this “God never changes”, so when we approach him in the most holy place we must do so with faith, fear and reverence.

The disciples asked Jesus how to pray. Jesus replied; “5″And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” What we generally refer to as the ”Lord’s Prayer” is a model and not a mantra that needs to be chanted over and over. Actually your prayer closet can be anywhere you can be alone with God. Remember this doesn’t preclude joining public prayer for the needs of the church or others in need.

Praise and Prayer

Effective Prayer “13 Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will restore him to health; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.” James 5:13-18 The Holy Bible: HCSB

Let’s look at Elijah and how he prayed for rain to be restored to the land. This seems fair considering he had successfully prayed for the three and a half year drought that gripped the land: “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayedearnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land.” James 5:17.The Holy Bible: HCSB. This is what the bible said about how Elijah asked God to end the drought

41 Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a rainstorm.”

42 So Ahab went to eat and drink, but Elijah went up to the summit of Carmel. He bowed down on the ground and put his face between his knees. 43 Then he said to his servant, “Go up and look toward the sea.”

So he went up, looked, and said, “There’s nothing.”

Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.”

44 On the seventh time, he reported, “There’s a cloud as small as a man’s hand coming from the sea.”

Then Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Get your chariot ready and go down so the rain doesn’t stop you.’”

45 In a little while, the sky grew dark with clouds and wind, and there was a downpour. So Ahab got in his chariot and went to Jezreel. 46 The power of the LORD was on Elijah, and he tucked his mantle under his belt and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” – The Holy Bible: HCSB Digital Text Edition

When you pray do so with faith;

40 Then Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning toward the body said, “Tabitha, get up! ” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up. 41 He gave her his hand and helped her stand up. Then he called the saints and widows and presented her alive. 42 This became known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. 43 And Peter stayed on many days in Joppa with Simon, a leather tanner.” – B&H Publishing Group (2010-10-01). The Holy Bible: HCSB Digital Text Edition (Kindle Locations 54142-54146). Holman Reference. Kindle Edition. If you need the kind of faith Peter had when prayed that prayer you can have it. God in his Holy Word tells us how to build our faith;

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” – Romans 10:17 English Standard Version Now I think that is an great way to build your faith so we can have effective prayer. This is only the beginning; “18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for

Their voice has gone out to all the earth,
and their words to the ends of the world.” –
Romans 10:18 English Standard Version

God Bless You,

Brother Mike

Feeling or Faith Exodus 30 – 32

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo30_32

lTheFeast Weekend Edition |

Feb 28_Mar 1,2012 Exodus 30-32

Dear Saints,

This week we prayerfully continue our Feast with three days in Exodus 30 through Exodus 32. The reason I’m doing three days is I have (minor) surgery tomorrow morning. When you pray please pray that God will bless my surgeon. It seems to me that people sin when they don’t see the hand of God moving. At least that is what we see the God’s people doing when Moses is delayed on the mountain with God. They decided that a god should be made to worship by man’s hands. Aaron took their gold jewelry and fashioned a golden calf for them to worship. Retribution was quick.; “33 But the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot out of my book. 34 But now go, lead the people to the place about which I have spoken to you; behold, my angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them.”

35 Then the Lord sent a plague on the people, because they made the calf, the one that Aaron made.” Exodus 32:33-35 English Standard Version (ESV). God doesn’t work on our schedule! When you are not sure that you are in God’s will pray and read his word. When you pray be patient and persistent God will hear you We can develop a practice to pray without ceasing, giving thanks in all circumstances. Sometimes when we are caught up in daily life we may find it difficult to praise God; God’s Word the Bible teaches us that all things are possible through Christ, we can continually praise God in the spirit of praise and thanksgiving, in the hardest of circumstances.; “16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 English Standard Version (ESV). Concerning faith when your can’t “FEEL” God, forget feeling, you know how to get the faith.; ”16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:16-17 English Standard Version (ESV). Do you want to share your faith? Share this Feast and God’s Word then you are sharing faith! So as for you and I let’s keep the first thing first, salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus.

I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list (http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html), please write mlitew8@gmail.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again this Friday.

Do you know that you are made in the image of God? You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? To be sure turn from sin just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mlitew8@yahoo.com or if you want a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com

Please join us for prayer, the fervent prayer of a righteous Saint avails (availeth) much, join in at; http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html You the living Saints that are God’s Church, made by his hands, God will bless you as you pray continuously with us. We would love to add your Praise and Prayer request.mlitew8@gmail.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

Are You Called to Serve, Exodus 29

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo 29

The Feast Daily Edition l

Feb 27_2012 Exodus 29

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 29. Today’s Feast is God is telling Moses and his chosen people how to consecrate the priests chosen from the tribe of Aaron; “1Now this is what you shall do to them to consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. Take one bull of the herd and two rams without blemish, 2 and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil. You shall make them of fine wheat flour… 44 I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests. 45 I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God. 46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.” Exodus 29:1-2, 44-46 (English Standard Version). Now God still gives us instruction for us to consecrate Saint’s to serve him. First who does God choose? “Whosoever will” respond to God’s invitation–that is, anyone who accepts the Gospel of Jesus and gives their life over to God! 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” Revelation 22:17 English Standard Version (ESV).Wow whosoever can be anyone even you and I! Now you can see that we are not justified by works, cleaning up my life, or being religious however it is by the blood of the Lamb, sacrificed by the Father God.”; “18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you 21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God“ 1 Peter 1:18-21 English Standard Version (ESV)”. Justified just as if I never sinned. So in accepting the gift of God we are saved? “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10 ESV. So here we are saved so we just wait around for Christ to come and deliver us from this world? The answer to that is no, God has a plan for every believers life! “18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”Matthew 28:18-20 English Standard Version (ESV). So seek God daily in prayer, read his word to nourish and build your faith and be ready with an answer concerning God’s kingdom for every man. “16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work.

I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list (http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html), please write mlitew8@gmail.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again this tomorrow.

Please join us for prayer, the fervent prayer of a righteous Saint avails (availeth) much, join in at; http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html You the living Saints that are God’s Church, made by his hands, God will bless you as you pray continuously with us. We would love to add your Praise and Prayer request.mlitew8@gmail.com. If you want a pastor to answer a question email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com

THE FEAST

confidence and our boasting Exodus 26 – 28

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo 26-28

The Feast Weekend Edition l

Exodus

Feb 24-26_2012 Exodus 26-28

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 26 through Exodus 28. There is perfect order in God’s instructions to the chosen people. There are no ambiguities or orders left to confuse the building of the tabernacle; ““Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns; you shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them. 2 The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall be the same size. 3 Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.” …etc ” Exodus 26:1-3 +,

English Standard Version (ESV). God leaves no ambiguity concerning salvation. No one has to guess about how to receive his gift of salvation. We know where God’s gift comes from; “5 Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6 but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.” Hebrews 3:5-7 English Standard Version (ESV). Let your light shine, Have a great weekend. You can tell people how to get the faith.; ”16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:16-17 English Standard Version (ESV) If you share this Feast you are sharing faith!

If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again this Monday.

THE FEAST

Fri Feb 24, 2012 –Exodus 26, “The curtains of the tabernacle. (1-6) The curtains of goats’ hair. (7-14) The boards, sockets, and bars. (15-30) The vail of the holy of holies, and for the entrance. (31-37)– Matthew Henry Concise

Fear and trembling Exodus 25

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo 25

The Feast Daily Edition l

Exodus 25

Feb 23_2012 Exodus 25

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 25. Today’s Feast is God’s conveying to Moses, the preparations that his people must make in order for God to be with them; “10 “They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits[b] and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 11 You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it… etc” God gives us instruction for us to be with Him. What did we agree to when we accepted our Covenant with God? “12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:11-13  English Standard Version (ESV).  As I stated yesterday; “God gave his only begotten son to pay for our Sin. Now you can see that we are not justified by the law, not by works , but by the blood of the Lamb, sacrificed by the Father God.”; “18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. Then the Covenant is consecrated in the blood of the Lamb. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list (http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html), please write mlitew8@gmail.com. The precious blood Exodus 24

The precious blood Exodus 24

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo 24

lTheFeast Daily Edition l

Feb 22_2012 Exodus 24

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 24. Today’s Feast is about God’s covenant with his chosen people. Let’s take a glance at what was prepared for his people; “7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.” 8 And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”” God gave Moses the Book of the Covenant. Moses conveyed it to the people. The people agree to the Covenant. Then the Covenant is consecrated in the blood.

Exodus 23:25-26, (ESV – English Standard Version).” Now pay close attention, to what we agreed to when we accepted our Covenant with God. “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 English Standard Version (ESV). God gave his only begotten son to pay for our Sin. Now you can see that we are not justified by the law, not by works , but by the blood of the Lamb, sacrificed by the Father God. Paying close attention the Law only points out sin. By his action we are justified, not by works; “18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. Then the Covenant is consecrated in the blood of the Lamb. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list (http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html), please write mlitew8@gmail.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again this tomorrow.

Justified Exodus 23

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo 23

l The Feast Daily Edition l

Exodus 23

Exodus 23

Feb 21_2012 Exodus 23

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 23. Today’s Feast is all about doing what is right. concerning our walk with God. God gives us examples of what is right, like the following “

Exd 23:25 You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
Exd 23:26 None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

” Exodus 23:25-26, (ESV – English Standard Version). Pay close attention, to do what’s right concerning your relationship with God and give him the glory. You are justified by the blood of the Lamb set free by his sacrifice. “6 “You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit. 7 Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked. 8 And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.” Exodus 23 (English Standard Version). We are not justified by the law, not by works , but by the blood of the Lamb, sacrificed by the Father God. By his action we are justified, not by works; “10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:10-11 English Standard Version (ESV)”. Justified just as if I never sinned. Now we stand against falsehood and injustice.

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 ESV.
