5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
    and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
    we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.”  Isaiah 53:5-6, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 8; “Genealogies.

– Here is a larger list of Benjamin’s tribe. We may suppose that many things in these genealogies, which to us seem difficult, abrupt, and perplexed, were plain and easy at that time, and fully answered the intention for which they were published. Many great and mighty nations then were in being upon earth, and many illustrious men, whose names are now wholly forgotten; while the names of multitudes of the Israel of God are here kept in everlasting remembrance. The memory of the just is blessed.” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 8.  Am I the only one who has trouble pronouncing some of these names?  No matter how we pronounce them know this; God knows them, and each of their descendants.     “39 The sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third. 40 The sons of Ulam were men who were mighty warriors, bowmen, having many sons and grandsons, 150. All these were Benjaminites.” 1 Chronicles 8:39-40, ESV. Matthew Henry said; “… Many great and mighty nations then were in being upon earth, and many illustrious men, whose names are now wholly forgotten; while the names of multitudes of the Israel of God are here kept in everlasting remembrance. The memory of the just is blessed.” Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary.  Not one person who is born escapes the mind of God!  Jesus justifies all who turn from sin and accept him.   “38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39, ESV.  Jesus promised that he will never leave us.  So we keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  We whom Jesus justifies cannot be separated from the love of God!  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

  God Bless You,

Brother Mike

3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.”  Isaiah 53:3-4, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 7; “Genealogies.

– Here is no account either of Zebulun or Dan. We can assign no reason why they only should be omitted; but it is the disgrace of the tribe of Dan, that idolatry began in that colony which fixed in Laish, and called it Dan, ( Judges 18 ) and there one of the golden calves was set up by Jeroboam. Dan is omitted, ( Revelation 7 ) . Men become abominable when they forsake the worship of the true God, for any creature object.” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 7.  Oh no! Not more of this Fathers, Mothers, sons and daughters?  Saints, there is a purpose for every Word in the Holy Word of God.   “40 All of these were men of Asher, heads of fathers’ houses, approved, mighty warriors, chiefs of the princes. Their number enrolled by genealogies, for service in war, was 26,000 men.” 1 Chronicles 7:40, ESV.  The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  This doesn’t mean to be afraid of God. It means to hold God in reverence, highest esteem, to understand there is no power higher than God.  “ 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? …37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. ” Romans 8:35, 37, ESV.  Because we “FEAR (hold in reverence, highest esteem and the highest power.) GOD”. We have faith in and love God in return.  We keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Can we be separated from the love of God?  No! Not if we wait on God, build our faith reading his Word daily and stay in a loving relationship with Jesus.  We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit; He will give us a peace that passes the understanding of this world.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

  God Bless You,

Brother Mike

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 6; “Genealogies.

– We have an account of Levi in this chapter. The priests and Levites were more concerned than any other Israelites, to preserve their descent clear, and to be able to prove it; because all the honours and privileges of their office depended upon their descent. Now, the Spirit of God calls ministers to their work, without any limit as to the families they came from; and then, as now, though believers and ministers may be very useful to the church, none but our great High Priest can make atonement for sin, nor can any be accepted but through his atonement.” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 6.  Once in a while it is hard to see what God is trying to say to us.  As we read today his love should shine on our hearts.  Because of Jesus we can approach the Holy of Holies, as only the Levites could.   “20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,”1 Chronicles 6:20, ESV.  By whom have we been loved more than our awesome God!  “10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10, ESV.   Because we have faith in and love for God we keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  This faith in God’s love, gives us hope for all things in God.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 5; “Genealogies.

– This chapter gives some account of the two tribes and a half seated on the east side of Jordan. They were made captives by the king of Assyria, because they had forsaken the Lord. Only two things are here recorded concerning these tribes. 1. They all shared in a victory. Happy is that people who live in harmony together, who assist each other against the common enemies of their souls, trusting in the Lord, and calling upon him. 2. They shared in captivity. They would have the best land, not considering that it lay most exposed. The desire of earthly objects draws to a distance from God’s ordinances, and prepares men for destruction ” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 5.  We see hope here where the people have the faith to call on God.  “20 And when they prevailed over them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, for they cried out to God in the battle, and he granted their urgent plea because they trusted in him.”1 Chronicles 5:20, ESV.  They are in war and they have the hope that God will save them.  That is they have the faith that God will save them.  When I see persons with no hope it is because they do not have faith in God.  “10 in this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10, ESV.  Those that have discovered the love of God have hope.  If there is no faith in God then there is no hope. Because we have faith in and love for God we keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  This faith in God’s love, gives us hope for all things in God.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Hello to my entire brother, sisters and those who will be.  Starting 03/26/2016 as we are well into our fourth time through every word in God’s Word I will bring forth The Feast from the last ten years edited as necessary. I will publish the Feast as “The Best of The Feast” because I turn seventy years old on April 15th, 2016 and don’t want to retire.  I will continue posting The Best of The Feast as long as I am able or until Jesus calls us home.

7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.”  Psalm 62:7, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 4 ; “ Genealogies.

– In this chapter we have a further account of Judah, the most numerous and most famous of all the tribes; also an account of Simeon. The most remarkable person in this chapter is Jabez… ” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today as we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 4we see a man named Jabez.  The scripture say’s that Jabez was an honorable man, in fact it say’s he was more honorable than his brothers.  Why does the scripture say that about him?  Let’s look at this verse; “10 Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.” 1 Chronicles 4:10, ESV.  We see that he is honorable in that he calls on God, to bless him without pain.  I think it was more than just asking God to bless him.  I think when he asked God he really expected an answer.  I think he must have also loved all who lived in his borders.  “34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”” John 13:34-35, ESV.  When we call in God the first thing we have to ask ourselves is this honorable thing I am seeking from God?  Will this honor God and be a blessing to those around us?  We must believe that God will answer our prayers! Then look for the answer, be ready for God’s answer and if the answer is no; we need to know that our request no matter what we may think was outside of God’s will.  Let’s keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep our sights on and our faith in Jesus, and then we will be honorable saints.  Our love for one another is how the world will see God’s love in us.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send The Best of The Feast again tomorrow.

We pray that you will accept Jesus as your savior? If the answer is yes you need fellow-ship. If you want to correspond with me I would love to hear from you mailto:mike@admenu.com. Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 3; “Genealogies.

– Of all the families of Israel, none were so illustrious as the family of David: here we have a full account of it. From this family, as concerning the flesh, Christ came. The attentive observer will perceive that the children of the righteous enjoy many advantages.” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 3. Here we see the lineage of all the families of David king of Israel.  Jesus the Christ as promised by God and witnessed by the Holy Word came from this blood line.  All the children raised in the righteousness of God enjoy many benefits. “1 These are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite, 2 the third, Absalom, whose mother was Maacah” 1 Chronicles 3:1-2, ESV.  We have witnessed again and again God never changes.  Doesn’t it stand to reason the children of Christian parents, raised and taught in the righteousness of Jesus still benefit?   “[For God So Loved the World] “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, ESV.   Saints, the child raised in a Christian home, where the laws of God set the standard, will grow up keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. “13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
    and great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13, ESV.  If you truly want the best for your children, raise them in a Jesus centered home.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send The Best of The Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 2; “Genealogies.

– We are now come to the register of the children of Israel, that distinguished people, who were to dwell alone, and not be reckoned among the nations. But now, in Christ, all are welcome to his salvation who come to him; all have equal privileges according to their faith in him, their love and devotedness to him. All that is truly valuable consists in the favour, peace, and image of God, and a life spent to his glory, in promoting the welfare of our fellow-creatures.” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 2.  It is important to know our family tree.  Now in this chapter of 1st Chronicles we are reading the register of the children of Israel. These are the people, who dwelled alone, and not counted with the nations. “54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The clans also of the scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.”1 Chronicles 2:54-55, ESV.  Now however, all persons are able to accept Jesus, we are part of those who have come to Him.  Just as the disciples, we all are equal, being born in the faith in Jesus.  All who truly repent of their sin and ask Jesus to be Lord of their lives.  We glorify God in the love of Jesus; “it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.q” 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7, ESV.   It is all for God’s purpose that we share this faith in love.  We share Jesus in His love keeping the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our lives reflect the love and light of Jesus, for all people to see. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
