Today’s Feast

Feast Exodus 19 – 21

March 31, 2015 – Exodus 19

Jesus Has Called You!

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.Hebrews 8:7, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 19; The people come to Sinai, God’s message to them, and their answer. (1-8) The people directed to prepare to hear the law. (9-15) The presence of God on Sinai. (16-25)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In today’s Feast God tells Moses to go to the people and prepare them to hear Me; “9 And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.” So Moses told the words of the people to the Lord. 10 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.Exodus 19:9-10, NKJV. We like Moses have been sent by the Lord God; “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV. The only question is; “will we obey Jesus?” It’s is up to each Saint to follow Jesus and share (Matthew 5:13) His light and love with the with those who are dieing in their sin.

Sharing The Burden of Leadership

Today’s Feast

Exodus 18

March 30, 2015 – Exodus 18

Sharing The Burden of Leadership

14 I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.Numbers 11:14, New King James Version (NKJV).

Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 18; Jethro brings to Moses his wife and two sons. (1-6) Moses entertains Jethro. (7-12) Jethro’s counsel to Moses. (13-27)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In today’s Feast we see no matter what gifts the Holy Spirit blesses you with, or how God uses you, it would be good to imitate Moses here; “8 And Moses told his father-in-law all that the Lord had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how the Lord had delivered them.Exodus 18:8, NKJV. When God moves concerning anything be sure to give him the glory. Our God is great and greatly to be praised. The next thing I see here is learn how to delegate. Moses’ father in law, wise old gentleman that he is sees Mo, taking the responsibility for everything, he is working himself into exhaustion; “14 So when Moses’ father-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, “What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit, and all the people stand before you from morning until evening?”Exodus 18:14 NKJV. So he says to Mo; Slow down you’ll have a ministry as long as God needs you. If you don’t delegate some of the work though you may not keep your sanity as long as God needs you. So as we see here Moses believes his dad in law and delegates some of the responsibilities that came with his ministry; “25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.Exodus 18:25 NKJV. So as for you and I let’s keep the first thing first, salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus. Pace yourself because God doesn’t want anyone to perish; “7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His graceEphesians 1:7 NKJV. Share God’s love and the load.

To Whom Goes The Glory?

Today’s Feast

Exodus 18

March 29, 2015 – Exodus 17

To Whom Goes The Glory?

23 Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.Acts 12:23, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 17; The Israelites murmur for water at Rephidim, God sendeth it out of the rock. (1-7) Amalek overcome, The prayers of Moses. (8-16)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In today‘s Feast we see the people of God looking to Moses as opposed to seeing God. I see this in many church groups today speaking about how wonderful the pastor is, and ignoring the glory of God. In the case of our Israelites they seemed more focused on Moses than God; “1 Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. 2 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?” 3 And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”Exodus 17:1-3, NKJV. They have their eyes on Moses (the servant) instead of their Saviour God. With all the miracles of God to bring them out of Egypt and deliver them from the Pharaoh and his army they remain focused on Moses. Don’t look on God’s vessels as if they contain the miracles. They are sent to show the way to and the power of God. Our awesome God. Just as the miracle of healing was delivered to the lame beggar through Peter and John; “3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”Acts 3:3-6 NKJV. We must always make sure the glory is God’s; “16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.Acts 3:16 NKJV. We need to keep the first thing first. Salvation healing and deliverance come through our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Who Is Complaining?

Today’s Feast

 Exodus 10 - 11

March 28, 2015 – Exodus 16

Who Is Complaining?

9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.1 Corinthians 10:9-10, New King James Version (NKJV).

Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 16; The Israelites come to the wilderness of Sin. They murmur for food, God promises bread from heaven. (1-12) God sends quails and manna. (13-21) Particulars respecting the manna. (22-31) An omer of manna to be preserved. (32-36)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

The fear (False Evidence Appearing Real) has hit the Israelites; “2 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. 3 And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Exodus 16:2-3, NKJV. Looking about from a worldly point of view, they feel that Moses has led them astray. Have they already forgotten the parting of the sea? ”21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.Exodus 14:21 NKJV. It would seem to me that they would understand that the Lord would provide for their needs; “11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?Luke 11:11 NKJV. This faith is easy for us we have God’s Word. We trust that God will deliver us. If it was us who had lost our job and were faced with the eviction notice we would know all we need to do is ask God; “7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.Matthew 7:7 NKJV. This fear we see in the Israelites, it is easy to condemn and say; “They still don’t trust God?” Dear Saints they are only human! I dare say if it was you or I facing the unknown we may have some doubt. If we ever need more or stronger faith we know where to get it; “17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Romans 10:17 NKJV. Hence the reasons for salvation and the feast become clearer, and we no longer need to keep whining or complaining.

Bitter Complaints?

Today’s Feast

 Exodus 10 - 11

March 27, 2015 – Exodus 15

Bitter Complaints?

20 But she said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.Ruth 1:20, New King James Version (NKJV).

Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 15; The song of Moses for the deliverance of Israel. (1-21) The bitter waters at Marah, The Israelites come to Elim. (22-27)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to be a great Christian when we are on the mountain top. I mean when everything is going your way it’s easy to shout; “Praise God!” God’s chosen people are no different when they are on a winning streak, this is Moses song; “13 You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation.Exodus 15:13, NKJV. Pretty common they are on top of the mountain God is great and greatly to be praised. As soon as they start that descent into the first valley things change. You know like when they cut your hours at work. As you get home the spouse says; “Call a plumber, there’s something wrong with the water!”; “23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”Exodus 15:23-24 NKJV. We might go off like; “This is all I need they cut my hours at work and now the house is falling apart!” ; “9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?Luke 11:9-11 NKJV. It appears to me God’s people would be better off asking our Father before we complain or become bitter.

Could They Ever Deny God Again?

Today’s Feast

 Exodus 10 - 11

Could They Ever Deny God Again?

12 Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.Psalm 106:12, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 14; God directs the Israelites to Pihahiroth, Pharaoh pursues after them. (1-9) The Israelites murmur, Moses comforts them. (10-14) God instructs Moses, The cloud between the Israelites and the Egyptians. (15-20) The Israelites pass through the Red sea, which drowns the Egyptians. (21-31)“ – Ma tthew Henry Concise.

The Israelites pass through the Red sea, then God overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.; “27 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained.Exodus 13:21-22 NKJV. Wow God spread the sea so the Israelites pass through. Then God closed the sea covering and drowning the whole Egyptian army. Surely the people who witnessed that would never doubt God again.

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 13; The first-born sanctified to God The remembrance of the passover commanded. (1-10) The firstlings of beasts set apart.(11-16) Joseph’s bones carried with the Israelites, They come to Etham. (17-20) (1-10) God guideth the Israelites by a pillar of cloud fire. (21,22)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

God is taking His people out of Egypt. He leads them day and night; “21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.Exodus 13:21-22 NKJV. Jesus is our light we need to follow Him day and night; “12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”John 8:12 NKJV. This is how God leads you and I (John 3:16) out of sin, and into His Kingdom.
