Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 48; “- Here is a description of the several portions of the land belonging to each tribe. In gospel times, behold all things are become new. Much is wrapped up in emblems and numbers. This method God has used to state mysterious truths in his word, not to be more clearly revealed till the proper time and season. But into the church of Christ, both in its state of warfare and triumph, there is free access by faith, from every side. Christ has opened the kingdom of heaven for all believers. Whoever will, may come, and take of the water of life, of the tree of life, freely. The Lord is there, in his church, to be nigh unto them in all they call upon him for. This is true of every real Christian; whatever soul has in it a living principle of grace, it may truly be said, The Lord is there. May we be found citizens of this holy city, and act agreeably to that character; and have the benefit of the Lord’s presence with us, in life, in death, and for evermore.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

The LORD God divides the land (see Ezekiel 48) equally for those who love Him and He promises He will dwell among them;35 … And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The LORD Is There.”Ezekiel 48:35, English Standard Version (ESV).  Likewise Jesus promises to stay (see Hebrews 13:5) with those who love Him. 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, Psalm 95:6-7 ESV.  God’s Word tell us that not only will he stay with those who love and serve Him; (see Romans 8:28) he will promote those who are called according to God’s purpose.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 47; “- These waters signify the gospel of Christ, which went forth from Jerusalem, and spread into the countries about; also the gifts and powers of the Holy Ghost which accompanied it, by virtue of which is spread far, and produced blessed effects. Christ is the Temple; and he is the Door; from him the living waters flow, out of his pierced side. They are increasing waters. Observe the progress of the gospel in the world, and the process of the work of grace in the heart; attend the motions of the blessed Spirit under Divine guidance. If we search into the things of God, we find some things plain and easy to be understood, as the waters that were but to the ankles; others more difficult, which require a deeper search, as the waters to the knees, or the loins; and some quite beyond our reach, which we cannot penetrate; but must, as St. Paul did, adore the depth, (Romans 11 ) . It is wisdom to begin with that which is most easy, before we proceed to that which is dark and hard to be understood. The promises of the sacred word, and the privileges of believers, as shed abroad in their souls by the quickening Spirit, abound where the gospel is preached; they nourish and delight the souls of men; they never fade nor wither, nor are exhausted. Even the leaves serve as medicines to the soul: the warnings and reproofs of the word, though less pleasant than Divine consolations, tend to heal the diseases of the soul. All who believe in Christ, and are united to him by his sanctifying Spirit, will share the privileges of Israelites. There is room in the church, and in heaven, for all who seek the blessings of that new covenant of which Christ is Mediator.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

Remember where we came from; we did not know about Christ (see Ephesians 2:12) were living in this world without hope and without salvation.  Through faith in Jesus we have been saved; 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Ephesians 2:19 ESV.  Saints remember without Jesus there is no city that lasts forever (see Hebrews 13:14) but by faith we are waiting for that city.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 46; “- The ordinances of worship for the prince and for the people, are here described, and the gifts the prince may bestow on his sons and servants. Our Lord has directed us to do many duties, but he has also left many things to our choice, that those who delight in his commandments may abound therein to his glory, without entangling their own consciences, or prescribing rules unfit for others; but we must never omit our daily worship, nor neglect to apply the sacrifice of the Lamb of God to our souls, for pardon, peace, and salvation.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

The Lord has various laws for the ruler and the people when (see Ezekiel 46:1-15) they come to worship during any festival. God gives, laws about the ruler’s land (see Ezekiel 46:16-18) they must not take land from God’s people.  The priests are given sacred kitchens (see Ezekiel 46:19-24) they were places to build fires and prepare the sacrifices.  These are the kitchens where the temple workers will boil the meat that worshipers offer as sacrifices;23 On the inside, around each of the four courts was a row of masonry, with hearths made at the bottom of the rows all around. 24 Then he said to me, “These are the kitchens where those who minister at the temple shall boil the sacrifices of the people.”.Ezekiel 46:23-24, English Standard Version (ESV).  Wherever God leads us to minister; (see Genesis 22:9-15) God provides. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!. Psalm 111:10 ESV.  Saints we must fear God and understand who the enemy is (see Ephesians 6:10-13) then we must get ready to serve Jesus and defend our faith.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 45; “- In the period here foretold, the worship and the ministers of God will be provided for; the princes will rule with justice, as holding their power under Christ; the people will live in peace, ease, and godliness. These things seem to be represented in language taken from the customs of the times in which the prophet wrote. Christ is our Passover that is sacrificed for us: we celebrate the memorial of that sacrifice, and feast upon it, triumphing in our deliverance out of the Egyptian slavery of sin, and our preservation from the destroying sword of Divine justice, in the Lord’s supper, which is our passover feast; as the whole Christian life is, and must be, the feast of the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 English Standard Version (ESV}.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 44; “- This chapter contains ordinances relative to the true priests. The prince evidently means Christ, and the words in ver. (Ezekiel 44:2) , may remind us that no other can enter heaven, the true sanctuary, as Christ did; namely, by virtue of his own excellency, and his personal holiness, righteousness, and strength. He who is the Brightness of Jehovah’s glory entered by his own holiness; but that way is shut to the whole human race, and we all must enter as sinners, by faith in his blood, and by the power of his grace.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

The Lord said: the east gate must remain closed (see Ezekiel 44:1-13) the Lord God of Israel, came through this gate. God gives Ezekiel, the laws for the temple (see Ezekiel 44:4-9) no godless foreigner will be allowed in My temple.  The Levites who turned their backs on God (see Ezekiel 44:10-14) must suffer for their sins.  The Levitical priests, who kept the charge of my sanctuary while Israel went astray (see Ezekiel 44:15-31) I myself will provide for my priests; 30 And the first of all the firstfruits of all kinds, and every offering of all kinds from all your offerings, shall belong to the priests. You shall also give to the priests the first of your dough, that a blessing may rest on your house. 31 The priests shall not eat of anything, whether bird or beast, that has died of itself or is torn by wild animals.Ezekiel 43:26, English Standard Version (ESV).  God sent His son; (see Romans 8:28) Jesus because He has a plan to bless those who love and serve Him. 3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 ESV.  Don’t try to define Jesus, don’t think he doesn’t understand, (see Jeremiah 29:11-13) let Jesus define your life.  If you’re ready draw near to Jesus (see 2 Chronicles 15:2) and he will deliver you.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 43; “After Ezekiel had surveyed the temple of God, he had a vision of the glory of God. When Christ crucified, and the things freely given to us of God, through Him, are shown to us by the Holy Ghost, they make us ashamed for our sins. This frame of mind prepares us for fuller discoveries of the mysteries of redeeming love; and the whole of the Scriptures should be opened and applied, that men may see their sins, and repent of them. We are not now to offer any atoning sacrifices, for by one offering Christ has perfected for ever those that are sanctified, Heb. 10:14 ; but the sprinkling of his blood is needful in all our approaches to God the Father. Our best services can be accepted only as sprinkled with the blood which cleanses from all sin.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

Ezekiel sees the Glory of God (see Ezekiel 43:1-12) and the law of the temple.. God details how the priests shall give offerings (see Ezekiel 43:13-27) for the sin of the people; “27 And when they have completed these days, then from the eighth day onward the priests shall offer on the altar your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, and I will accept you, declares the Lord GOD.”Ezekiel 43:26, English Standard Version (ESV).  God sent His son; Jesus (see John 3:16) to be the final sacrifice for all of mans sin. God has given each of us gifts to be used to share Jesus with all persons; 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another Romans 12:4-5 ESV.  It is important that each of us strive to share Jesus (see Romans 2:13) using the gifts God has given us.  Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s the other person’s place to share Jesus (see James 1:22) you would only be fooling yourself.  When a person answers the call to share Jesus (see Romans 8:28) they will be blessed in every part of their life.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 42; “- In this chapter are described the priests’ chambers, their use, and the dimensions of the holy mount on which the temple stood. These chambers were many. Jesus said, In my Father’s house are many mansions: in his house on earth there are many; multitudes, by faith, are lodging in his sanctuary, and yet there is room. These chambers, though private, were near the temple. Our religious services in our chambers, must prepare for public devotions, and further us in improving them, as our opportunities are.“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

God gives Ezekiel the measurements (see Ezekiel 40) of the priest’s chambers. God instruction for the priests chambers in temple are precise; “20 He measured it on the four sides. It had a wall around it, cubits long and cubits broad, to make a separation between the holy and the common.Ezekiel 42:20, English Standard Version (ESV).  Our God places high importance on (see Matthew 10:29-30) precise measurements and details. Our righteous Lord measures a person’s words along with their heart; 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Luke 16:15 ESV.  Each of us gain a measure of faith (see Romans 10:17) through God’s Word.  Through faith in God’s Word (see Galatians 3:2) we receive the Holy Spirit.  We are saved by faith (see Ephesians 2:8-9) and not by any other means.  God’s Holy laws are like a lock (see Acts 4:12) and faith in Jesus is the only key to salvation.
