Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 2; Hold fast and honor the gift of salvation (Hebrews 2:1-4) delivered to us by God through the sacrifice of His only son Jesus.  Jesus became a man of flesh who remained sinless and willingly suffered and died (Hebrews 2:5-9) so that you and I might gain salvation.   In other words Jesus became flesh (Hebrews 2:10-13) and suffered a violent death to give us victory over death.  Jesus doesn’t die for the angels, (Hebrews 2:14-18) He died to for us, the seed of Abraham which were lost in our sin.  “17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 2:17-18 New King James Version (NKJV).  God’s Word is very clear about who and why (Romans 5:14-16) Jesus the only Son of God came to redeem; “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV.  Jesus died to pay in full for the sins (John 3:16) for anyone who will repent and ask Him into their life. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 1 “The surpassing dignity of the Son of God in his Divine person, and in his creating and mediatorial work. (1-3) And in his superiority to all the holy angels. (4-14)

Hebrews an overview; This epistle shows Christ as the end, foundation, body, and truth of the figures of the law, which of themselves were no virtue for the soul. The great truth set forth in this epistle is that Jesus of Nazareth is the true God. The unconverted Jews used many arguments to draw their converted brethren from the Christian faith. They represented the law of Moses as superior to the Christian dispensation, and spoke against every thing connected with the Saviour. The apostle, therefore, shows the superiority of Jesus of Nazareth, as the Son of God, and the benefits from his sufferings and death as the sacrifice for sin, so that the Christian religion is much more excellent and perfect than that of Moses. And the principal design seems to be, to bring the converted Hebrews forward in the knowledge of the gospel, and thus to establish them in the Christian faith, and to prevent their turning from it, against which they are earnestly warned. But while it contains many things suitable to the Hebrews of early times, it also contains many which can never cease to interest the church of God; for the knowledge of Jesus Christ is the very marrow and kernel of all the Scriptures. The ceremonial law is full of Christ, and all the gospel is full of Christ; the blessed lines of both Testaments meet in Him; and how they both agree and sweetly unite in Jesus Christ, is the chief object of the epistle to the Hebrews to discover.” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

Our Lord Jesus is the only son of God (Hebrews 1:1-2) and there is no other name by which we are saved. “13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:13-14 NKJV.  God’s Word is clear and straight forward concerning our relationship (Romans 10:9-10) with Jesus. Jesus is the only Son of God (read this verse carefully it doesn’t say “a son of God”); “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5  NKJV.  Do not be fooled by those (Galatians 1:7) who would change, question the interpretation, or add too God’s Holy Word. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 52 “The fate of Zedekiah. (1-11) The destruction of Jerusalem. (12-23) The captivities. (24-30) The advancement of Jehoiachin. (31-34).” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary
Our God is faithful to keep those (Jeremiah 52:31-34) who keep their faith in Him. “33 So Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life. 34 And as for his provisions, there was a regular ration given him by the king of Babylon, a portion for each day until the day of his death, all the days of his life.” Jeremiah 52:33-34 NKJV.  We don’t need to worry or fret about the world around us if we trust Jesus and love our neighbors; “18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:18  NKJV. Jesus has paid the full price (Hebrews 9:12) to release every person from the bonds of sin.  We are ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) carrying the good news to a dying world. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 51 Babylon’s doom; God’s controversy with her; encouragements from thence to the Israel of God. (1-58) The confirming of this. (59-64)” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

The whole world will see God’s judgment taken out on Babylon; (Jeremiah 51:1-58) they will surely be amazed (Revelation 18:19) at how quickly she is destroyed?  The words that Jeremiah the prophet spoke (Jeremiah 51:59-64) were read to the captives to let them know God’s promise to rescue them would be fulfilled; “62 then you shall say, ‘O Lord, You have spoken against this place to cut it off, so that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but it shall be desolate forever.’” Jeremiah 51:62 NKJV.  The Word of God’s is a two edged sword; He lifts up those who love Jesus and (Revelation 18:21) puts down those who don’t. “24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:24  NKJV.  We cannot serve the Lord and the World; (Matthew 6:24) we will love one and hate the other.  Only you can make the choice; choose who you will love (Hebrews 3:12-14) and commit with your (Revelation 3:15) whole heart.  If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7  NKJV.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 50; “The ruin of Babylon. (1-3, 8-16,21-32,35-46;) The redemption of God’s people. (4-7,17-20,33,34)”  Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

In this chapter we learn that sometimes God uses His People to pronounce judgment, (Jeremiah 50:21-23) they may be used in the battle against sin. The question that begs to be answered is; (Ephesians 6:10-11) are we prepared to serve God?  Do we know who (Ephesians 6:12) the enemy is?  Don’t fret Jesus knows what we are able to handle, He will be with us; “3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NKJV. Jesus is with us in every circumstance; Keep your mind and eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 13:5) He will never leave or forsake us. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 49; ‘Prophecies relative to the Ammonites. (1-6) The Edomites. (7-22) The Syrians. (23-27) The Kedarenes. (28-33) The Elamites. (34-39)” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

In this chapter God’s righteousness is on display as He judges the nations beginning with (Jeremiah 49:1-6) the Ammonites.  God judges Edom an enemy of Israel (Jeremiah 49:7-22) and it becomes a horror.   God’s Judgment on Damascus (Jeremiah 49:23 27) the stronghold of Ben-hadad waxes weak.  God uses Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon (Jeremiah 49:28-33) to make the people of Kedar aware of their sins against God.  The king and officials of Elam, suffer (Jeremiah 49:34-39) God’s fierce anger. “37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 49:37-38 NKJV.  Those that attack God’s law or His People (Genesis 12:3) bring destruction upon themselves. “31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NKJV.  The fear of God is the beginning of (Proverbs 1:7) wisdom.  God protects those who love (Job 8:20) His righteousness. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 48; “Prophecies against Moab for pride and security. (1-13) For carnal confidence and contempt of God. (14-47)– Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

God sends the Chaldeans to destroy the Moabites (Jeremiah 48:1-13) because they trust in their work and persist in iniquity.  We have been saved by the grace of God; (1 Corinthians 15:58) therefore we should continue sincere in our work for the glory of God.  The destruction of Moab is prophesied (Jeremiah 48:14-47) to make the people aware of their sins against God.  The captive Gentiles, that live under the yoke of sin, shall be brought back by the grace of God, and they will be truly free; “46 Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh perish; For your sons have been taken captive, And your daughters captive. 47 “Yet I will bring back the captives of Moab In the latter days,” says the Lord. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.” Jeremiah 48:46-47 NKJV.  Once again, we see that God’s law (1 John 4:7-8) is made perfect in love for all people. “7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.” Psalm 121:7-8 NKJV.  God has sent Jesus to pay the whole price for our sin (Romans 8:1-2) leaving us free to serve Him without fear of Judgment. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.
