The Journey Begins!

5 And the Lord your God will expel them from before you and drive them out of your sight. So you shall possess their land, as the Lord your God promised you. Joshua 23:5, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 1;

The Book of Exodus relates the forming of the children of Israel into a church and a nation. We have hitherto seen true religion shown in domestic life, now, we begin to trace its effects upon the concerns of kingdoms and nations. Exodus signifies “the departure;” the chief event therein recorded is the departure of Israel from Egypt and Egyptian bondage; it plainly points out the fulfilling of several promises and prophecies to Abraham respecting his seed, and shadows forth the state of the church, in the wilderness of this world, until her arrival at the heavenly Canaan, an eternal rest.

The children of Israel increase in Egypt after the death of Joseph. (8-14) They are oppressed, but multiply exceedingly. (1-7) The men-children destroyed. (15-22)Matthew Henry Concise.

In this chapter we see that no matter how bad other people treat God’s people, everything will work to prosper God’s chosen ones; “12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel. 13 So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor. 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage–in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.Exodus 1:12-14 NKJV. Keep your eyes and heart on Jesus (Romans 8:28) no matter how bad the present circumstances seem; you will prosper.

9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Matthew 28:9, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 28: “Christ’s resurrection. (1-8) He appears to the women. (9,10) Confession of the soldiers. (11-15) Christ’s commission to his disciples. (16-20)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this chapter we see that Jesus has risen from the grave, (Matthew 28:6) overcoming death and sin. And in the last paragraph He gives the disciples “The Great Commission that applies to all Saints to this very day; “18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV. That is the reason that we (1 Peter 3:15) share the gospel at every opportunity.

It Didn’t End Here!

Today’s Feast

Mat 25

March 11, 2015 – Matthew 27

It Didn’t End Here!

42 So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby. John 19:42, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 27: “Christ delivered to Pilate, The despair of Judas. (1-10) Christ before Pilate. (11-25) Barabbas loosed, Christ mocked. (26-30) Christ led to be crucified. (31-34) He is crucified. (35-44) The death of Christ. (45-50) Events at the crucifixion. (51-56) The burial of Christ. (57-61) The sepulchre secured. (62-66)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture is we see Jesus being crucified fulfilling prophesy, Jesus died on that cross. The next day Pilate ordered a guard be put on Jesus tomb;64 Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.” 65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.Matthew 27:64-66 NKJV. If the death of Jesus ended here our faith would be for nothing! Jesus promised to be with us until God’s kingdom comes to the end of age. We stand against the same Satan that would of ended the story with Matthew 27; For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firmEphesians 6:12-13 NKJV. And so we continue to stand firm!

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 24: “The parable of the ten virgins. (1-13) The parable of the talents. (14-30) The judgment. (31-46) “ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture is we see Jesus fulfilling prophesy and eating the last supper with his disciples; “26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”Matthew 25:34-36 NKJV. This is what we celebrate whenever we take communion!

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 24: The parable of the ten virgins. (1-13) The parable of the talents. (14-30) The judgment. (31-46) “ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture is we see Jesus talking about the the saints who have a personal relationship with him. Even if all you do is share the Feast with others, your sharing God’s word. God’s Word is the Feast; “34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’Matthew 25:34-36 NKJV. If we just read about God but don’t know him (James 2:19) we are spinning our wheels. Therefor keep the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God, faith from the Word of God. “10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.James 4:10 NKJV. Our relationship with God is special in and of itself!

Will Faith In Jesus Work?

Will Faith In Jesus Work?

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17, New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 24: “Christ foretells the destruction of the temple. (1-3) The troubles before the destruction of Jerusalem. (4-28) Christ foretells other signs and miseries, to the end of the world. (29-41) Exhortations to watchfulness. (42-51)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture is we see Jesus teaching about the coming kingdom. This is the reason you and I have the Feast; “44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?Matthew 24:44-45 NKJV. If we just read about God but don’t know him we couldn’t live in the new kingdom. By the same token keeping the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God; we get by faith (Romans 10:17) from the Word of God. “1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.Romans 5:1-2 – NKJV. Faith in Jesus Christ will work!

For the Love of Money?

Today’s Feast

Featured image

March 7, 2015 – Matthew 23

For the Love of Money?

14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. Luke 16:14, New King James Version (NKJV).

Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 23: “Jesus reproves the scribes and Pharisees. (1-12) Crimes of the Pharisees. (13-33) The guilt of Jerusalem. (34-39)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture we see Jesus teaching about those who belong to the “religion” but miss the relationship; “13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go inMatthew 23:13 NKJV. These are the ones who worry about what they look like to others. They would turn God’s kingdom into a club where they would be exalted; “5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,Matthew 23:5-6 NKJV. Share the Glory of God so that those whom you share with will be saved and Jesus glorified. Then you truly love your neighbor as yourself, be true to the Lord, not to your glory; “25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.Matthew 23:25-26 NKJV. Keep your relationship true to God and therefore not willing that any should parish! Glorify God and let that be your reward.
