Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 16; “Paul takes Timothy to be his assistant. (1-5) Paul proceeds to Macedonia, The conversion of Lydia. (6-15) An evil spirit cast out, Paul and Silas scourged and imprisoned. (16-24) The conversion of the jailer at Philippi. (25-34)Paul and Silas released. (35-40)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Concerning God’s instruction to the Jews, the Pharisees, raise the questions of the laws. The apostles and the elders hold council at Jerusalem. The letter from the council, states because they are saved by faith the gentiles would do well to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and that which was strangled, and from sexual immorality. In dispute, Paul and Barnabas separate. “36 And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.” 37 Now Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark. 38 But Paul thought best not to take with them one who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work. 39 And there arose a sharp disagreement, so that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus, 40 but Paul chose Silas and departed, having been commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord. 41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.” Acts 15:36-41, ESV. Paul and Barnabas were quick to return to service for God, in spite of the dispute. Paul continues to speak with care and affection for both Barnabas and Mark, in his epistles, written after the incident. If we profess our love for our God and Savior, that love, soon forgets and buries disagreements among believers. “[A New Prophet like Moses] “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen—” Deuteronomy 18:15, ESV. We serve God not man, be alert for God’s instruction. Hold all things up to the light that is God’s Word. Continue to keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Be sure that what you and those you associate with, do in Jesus name truly glorifies God! If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 14; “Paul and Barnabas at Iconium. (1-7) A cripple healed at Lystra, The people would have sacrificed to Paul and Barnabas. (8-18) Paul stoned at Lystra, The churches visited again. (19-28)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Paul and Barnabas speaking clearly at Iconium convert a great many Jews and Gentiles. Paul and Barnabas address a cripple and he is healed at Lystra, The people would have sacrificed to Paul and Barnabas, but they declared they were men like them. Because of the deep seated corruption, the people stoned Paul at Lystra, Paul is healed, and he and Barnabas visit the churches again. “24 Then they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia, 26 and from there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled. 27 And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they remained no little time with the disciples.” Acts 14:24-28, ESV. Paul and Barnabas were quick to give the glory to God for the cripples healing. The rewards of serving Jesus and being sealed by the Holy Spirit are sufficient in themselves. “5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing… By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” John 15:5,8, ESV. We could do no good in true love without Jesus. That is why we keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. What is done in Jesus name truly glorifies God!.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 13; “The mission of Paul and Barnabas. (1-3) Elymas the sorcerer. (4-13) Paul’s discourse at Antioch. (14-41) He preaches to the Gentiles, and is persecuted by the Jews. (42-52)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

As the Lord lifts up laborers the mission of Paul and Barnabas set’s off. The Magician Elymas the sorcerer opposes them. Using the Old Testament and speaking from the book of Psalm, Paul ministers at Antioch. He preaches to the Gentiles, and is persecuted by the Jews. “47 For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'” 48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region. 50 But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 13:47-52, ESV. Even those that start out against you in your ministry God can turn into your allies. Jesus is not willing that any should parish, even your enemies can be turned by the Holy Spirit. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6, ESV. We have the proof of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his resurrection. Please join us in keeping the first thing first, that’s salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We can do everything through Jesus; there are no limits in where His Word can take us.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 12; “The martyrdom of James, and the imprisonment of Peter. (1-5) He is delivered from prison by an angel. (6-11)Peter departs, Herod’s rage. (12-19) The death of Herod. (20-25)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

The martyrdom of James, Christ told him that he should drink of the cup that he was to drink of, and be baptized with the baptism that he was to be baptized with. The imprisonment of Peter. An angel of God releases Peter from prison. Herod searched for Peter but he escaped Herod’s rage. The death of Herod; “20 Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they came to him with one accord, and having persuaded Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food. 21 On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and delivered an oration to them. 22 And the people were shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!” 23 Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.

24 But the word of God increased and multiplied.

25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their service, bringing with them John, whose other name was Mark.” Acts 12:22-25, ESV. There is a good lesson to be learned here, never take credit for God’s work. If you read the scripture and understand what it said, when you share it remember to give credit to the Holy Spirit. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,” John 11:25, ESV. We are saved and brought to good purpose by God. Give Him the credit for what your salvation accomplishes, keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The father sent Jesus to die for our sin. For you and I are unable to pay for our own trespasses. We must give God all the credit for the good works our salvation produces. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 11; “Peter’s defence. (1-18) The success of the gospel at Antioch. (19-24) The disciples named Christians, Relief sent to Judea. (25-30)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Peter had to defend himself from those that would put tradition or works in front of God’s Grace. The reason for the success of the gospel at Antioch was it was Gods will, His grace. There in Antioch is where the disciples were first called Christians. Acting as true believers they sent relief to Judea. “27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius). 29 So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. 30 And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.” Acts 11:27-30, ESV. In the beginning of this chapter, the first Christians wanted to live by religious tradition rather than share God’s grace. Once the believers got past their religion and tradition, God’s grace spread like fire. Jesus was accepted as the Messiah by Jew’s and gentiles alike. “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15, ESV. We the sinners in this world is who Jesus laid down his life for. Road blocks are for catching law breakers! Jesus is for saving all sinners from their transgressions! Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus laid down his life for all people, those who will accept God’s grace are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus cleans his fish after he catches them!.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.1 Corinthians 10:13, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 10; “Cornelius directed to send for Peter. (1-8) Peter’s vision. (9-18) He goes to Cornelius. (19-33) His discourse to Cornelius. (34-43) The gifts of the Holy Spirit poured out. (44-48)” – Matthew Henry Concise.

Up to this point in God’s Word the Jews were the only ones baptized in the name of Christ, Cornelius directed to send for Peter. God sends Peter a vision and in Peter’s vision, God told him not to call unclean what God makes clean. He goes to Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man. Cornelius tells Peter how an angel directed him to Peter. Then the gifts of the Holy Spirit poured out; “44 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. 45 And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. 46 For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, 47 “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.” Acts 10:44-48, ESV. Saints these gifts are still for believers today, the key is belief in Jesus. There a no less reasons for you and I NOT to harvest faithfully for the kingdom of God. “So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep… I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:7, 9-10, ESV. Yes we are the sheep and Jesus is the only way in to the kingdom. We are saved by Jesus as God’s Word says. We too are sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are to keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Some of us are not happy with the state of this world; Jesus told us it would be worse before he returns. I for one think we need to win all the souls we can before Jesus returns for us.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html.  Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at;  mike@admenu.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
