March 17, 2015 – Exodus 5
If God Loves Us?
“3 For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draws near to the grave.“ Psalm 88:3, New King James Version (NKJV).
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus Chapter 5; “Pharaoh’s displeasure, He increases the tasks of the Israelites. (1-9) The sufferings of the Israelites, Moses’ complaint to God. (10-23)“ – Matthew Henry Concise.
Today we we see Moses receiving grief from his own people, they believed the Pharaoh. Instead of going to God in prayer asking for instruction and direction, we see Moses railing at God. “22 So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.”” Exodus 5:22-23, NKJV. Next time some one asks “If God loves us why does He ______?” Remind them Jesus doesn’t give us grief. “10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV. Jesus does more for us (Acts 2:28) than delivering us from evil.
